As an equine therapist I have been very impressed with Stabllux and it’s benefits for the equine athlete. Horses appear to present with fewer distal limb and joint issues (inflammation and swelling) and have reduced concussive type injuries to hocks (in particular) caused by elevating from recumbency. The mattress type flooring has shown an increased level of recumbency encouraging non weight bearing rest periods and with it also being ‘warmer’ (less cold) than traditional concrete/rubber mat surfaces this further enhances general all round comfort and well being. In addition to the anatomical benefits the requirement for reduced for bedding subsequently decreases dust levels and thereby encourages a healthier respiratory system.
